Jasmine Cho, one of PSC Biotech®’s Program Managers, started her chapter involvement with the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Greater Los Angeles (GLA) chapter when she first joined the PSC™ recruitment team.  ISPE is the largest non-profit organization in the world, representing its members by leading scientific, technological and regulatory advancements in the pharmaceutical lifecycle.  Soon after she started attending events for recruiting and networking, she became involved with the Vendor Night Committee.

In 2019, Jasmine was elected Social Committee Co-Chair, responsible for social media enhancement and coordinating social events.  The Social Committee, Jasmine and Co-Chair Justin Cantor, have implemented effective social media strategies, generated graphics for every single ISPE GLA event that is hosted by ISPE GLA, created the “Speaker Spotlight” posts and experimented with posting animations, videos, polls, and other ways to raise awareness about ISPE hosted events and webinars. The Social Committee doubled the number of followers for the ISPE GLA’s LinkedIn page, posted 2-3 posts per week, and achieved a 12.62% engagement rate. They have also launched Instagram and Twitter pages.

ISPE GLA social events prior to COVID-19 were very successful.  The Social Committee has maintained safety and social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic while continuing to deliver quality events for ISPE members.  In 2021, Jasmine and the ISPE GLA Social Committee intend to maintain the momentum of their social media gains, continuing their successful efforts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter to improve engagement, and developing virtual events and social activities while in-person events are not permitted.  Jasmine is just one example of PSC Biotech’s commitment to volunteer engagement and advancement of professional organizations that benefit us all.  Stay tuned and stay involved!
